Emma Pegg
Director and Co-founder
Emma has worked in the freight and logistics industry for over 25 years. During this time, she worked for a number a multinational companies, acquiring training and skill set from all levels of the industry. EDS Worldwide was established in 2002 with the concept of “one call covers all’, a company which provides bespoke freight solutions tailored to customers individual needs. Since then, Emma and her business partner Susan Buckland, have dedicated their time to developing and expanding the company. Building strong relationships with overseas partners and making valuable connections in order to provide a range of transport services to meet every requirement. With two sons who are very into sports, one who swims and one who plays ice hockey, her main decision of a weekend is if she should wear her shorts or winter coat!
Amy Vickers
Office Manager
Amy Vickers brings that little bit extra every day, always happy, positive with a can do attitude. Working at EDS from the conception with just a little break to start her family, Amy has worked her way up from office junior to office manager over the last 20 years. Amy’s knowledge and understanding of not only transport but most customs procedures has been invaluable during the last 3 years. Eager to help new and existing clients with their requirements, she always makes herself available to talk….. and my, doesn’t she love to talk.
Eve Beckett
Senior Operations
Eve Beckett is the real power house of the team, she maybe small but she’s definitely mighty. Joining EDS Worldwide 10 years ago, she is officially the fastest member of the team for processing entries and loves nothing more than a busy afternoon helping out clients….. well…. that is when she’s not running a marathon. Eve is always the first person in the office and the last to leave at night which clearly displays the love she has for the industry she works so well in, however her number 1 love will always be her 4 beautiful fur babies. Eve AKA The Dog Momma.
James Jones
Senior Operations
James started his freight journey in 1997 as a full time administration clerk while completing a Business Studies NVQ level 3. Once qualified, James took on the role working in the warehouse stock taking, picking/packaging and dispatching. A few years later, and with his invaluable ‘behind the scene’ work experience, James automatically became transport and dispatch supervisor assisting larger retailers such as Sainsbury’s and WH Smith’s with export and import requirements. Fast forward to today, and even though he looks forward to his yearly walking holiday’s in Devon, for the rest of the year his feet are firmly under his desk, ready to get suck in and assist customers with their requirements.
Lauren Dace
Irish Operations and Customer Services
Lauren joined EDS Worldwide at the beginning of May as the newest member of our team. With over 8 years of experience in customer service at her local bingo hall, she decided it was time for a change. However, she hasn’t entirely retired her dabber. Now, she enjoys participating in a game or two on the weekends instead of supervising, cherishing time with her family and hoping they’ll hit the jackpot one day.
Bob Lees
Sales and Business Development
With over 40 years’ freight experience, Bob is the most senior member of the team. Working in various sectors such as parcel distribution, international operations and UK same day courier service to name a few, he knows the in’s and out’s when it comes to the world of logistics. Bob joined the EDS team in 2016 and has been passing on his experiences and knowledge ever since. When he’s not looking after his beautiful grandchildren, he enjoys making regular visits to both old and new clients entertaining them with stories of yesteryear while checking if there are any freight requirement updates.
